Manifestation Overview

Manifestation is the use of states of consciousness to affect the subtle energy ecology of the earth to produce a physical result or make an idea or intent tangible.  Such a state of consciousness might be positive thinking or visualization.  For us, it is the creation of a state of inner clarity, intention, wholeness, and connectedness that we call “Presence.”  We teach this process through classes and workshops and through the use of a unique tool called The Manifestation Card Deck.

     Manifestation is part of the creative capacity of every human being.  We are manifesting all the time as our various states of consciousness shape and affect the subtle energies that flow around us, through us, and from us.  The challenge is to manifest mindfully in a way that shapes for us the life we would wish to have, a life we love.

     Manifestation is often thought of simply as attracting things and getting what you want, but it is much more than that. It is an incarnational art, a way of being more than a way of acquiring.  Understanding it offers benefits to us far beyond acquisition. It is a way of creating wholeness in and for ourselves and for the world around us.

     We teach Manifestation through online classes that go into the cosmology and spirituality of the process as well as the techniques of its practice, and we offer workshops on using the Manifestation Card Deck.  For further information, please go to the Practice Track under Education or to the Class Schedules to see what workshops or classes may be available.

Manifestation Card Deck Overview

The Manifestation Deck is designed to be a living deck, open to change and evolution.  The methods of using the cards, the tableaus and suggested methods of doing “readings” are not graven in stone.  They provide a platform from which to begin your own exploration and experimentation in using the cards.

     For example, when I first designed and published the Manifestation Card deck, I intended it for individual private use in working out manifestation projects.  It never occurred to me that it could be used in a counseling setting. Yet one person did begin using the deck in her consultations, offering “manifestation readings.”  This innovative process extended the use and benefit of the Manifestation Cards beyond anything I had envisioned.  I was excited and pleased (and a little envious I hadn’t thought of it!).

     The tableaus or card layouts for readings that I include in the manuals and here within the Card Exercises are suggestions for using the cards.  They are not meant to limit your creativity.  You may find a different card layout works better for you or to answer certain kinds of questions. 

     I have also thought of other cards I would like to add to the decks, supplemental images and material that might broaden the scope of what they offer.  Lorian Press may come up with “booster packs” of additional cards to augment and expand the possibilities of the ones you have now.  This is not because the decks as they are currently are not complete.  They are.  But they also have the possibility for growth and development.  In creating the decks, I felt like I was in tune with a living organism rather than just a set of ideas and images.  I want to honor this livingness.

I have given my interpretations of what the cards mean and what I was trying to communicate in designing them (with the very able and wonderful help and inspiration of Deva Berg, a most extraordinary artist who truly went deeply into the spirit of the cards to find the images that matched what I most wanted to convey).  But these interpretations are not sacrosanct either.  A card might bring up a whole different meaning or interpretation for you, one that takes you deeply into your process of manifestation or incarnation and provides just the key you need.  If so, I’d like to hear about it.  I want to hear how you’re making your deck your own, rather than just depending on the interpretations and card layouts that I’ve created. COMBINING THE INCARNATIONAL CARD DECK AND

The Incarnational Card Deck and the Manifestation Card Deck both emerge from the teachings of incarnation theory and its practical application, Incarnational Spirituality.  Therefore, there are philosophical and practical connections between the two decks that allow them to combine and reinforce each other in interesting ways.
